My first love of music came when I was about 8/9yrs old, I used to turn on my father's radio gram and play his 7"s when he wasn't at home, I then got an old record player off my grandma for my 14th birthday, I was the 1st out of my friends to get a player, we would have reggae sessions in my bedroom, one of my friends was Skully roots from Maverick's brother, so he would bring tunes round for us to skank to, between 15/16 we started to build a sound system Nyah Tribesman.. In the mid 80's we stopped playing sound and I started to collect Rare groove and jazz etc as we started playing Pirate radio for Hopper Tubbs & Kareem (Carl Smith) RIP... The rest is history... We formed a dj collective called Take5 and from there started playing various places in Leeds City centre...
